The Caltech Autism/Asperger research program is working hard to understand what are the specific aspects of brain processing that might be different in people with autism. Ultimately we hope that our research will lead to earlier diagnosis, better prediction of social dysfunction and improved strategies for rehabilitation of patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

  • Have you been diagnosed with Autism or Asperger Syndrome?
  • Are you at least 18 years old?
  • Do you live in the Los Angeles area? Can you travel to Pasadena?

Our research projects involve psychological tests, eye tracking and brain imaging. The studies will help us to better understand the difficulties in social and emotional behavior seen in people on the Autism Spectrum.
