Biographical Sketch - J. Michael Tyszka, Ph.D.

Dr. Tyszka received an honours BA in Physics and Theoretical Physics from Cambridge University in 1987, a M.Sc. in Information Technology from Aberdeen University in 1988 and a Ph.D. in magnetic resonance imaging of fluid flow in 1992, also from Cambridge University. Following a visiting assistant professorship in the department of radiology at USC, he continued to work on MRI methodology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte. He returned to academic research in Scott Fraser's group at Caltech in 2001 and became Associate Director of the Caltech Brain Imaging Center in 2008.
